Reading the Bag Map

What the numbers on each Bag Map card mean (typical value, change, consistency, reliability, freshness), how to change the conditions, and the Gap, Summary and club detail views.

The Bag Map sums up, from your records, how far each club is going right now. It is not the “correct” distance, but a tool for comparing with before and choosing your club.

Reading a card

Cards are listed in your Club Management order, one per club.

Changing the conditions

Use the “Window” and “Range” buttons at the top, and “Bag Map Filters” under “Details”. Your choices are saved on the device.

How the numbers work

What goes into the Bag Map

Included Not included
Entered numbers (with carry or total) Records needing review (no club, target records with fewer than 5 shots, and so on)
Analyzed photos, or photos with distances typed in Photos waiting for analysis or pending
Target records with 5 or more shots (as estimated ranges) Records with “Use in Bag Map” turned off
Shots from unified drills Wedge drills and drill drafts
Unusual distances (an iron outside 15–250 yd, for example)

Gap

“Gap” at the top right lists the difference between neighbouring clubs. A difference of 20 yd (18 m) or more shows “Large gap detected”. Clubs with no records in between are skipped. It needs distances for at least two clubs.

Summary

“Summary” at the top right shows a chart of each club’s typical distance and how many clubs are fresh, stale or have no data.

Club detail

Tap a card to open that club’s detail. It uses the same conditions as the Bag Map.

Backup reminder

On Pro or Pro+ with cloud backup in use, if records have gone unbacked-up for a week or more, “Time to back up?” appears at the top of the Bag Map. Backups are not made automatically. See Backup and restore.
